Moebius Lab 2.4

Moebius Lab is a versatile sound processor that offers a range of features including a synthesizer, a varispeed stereo sample player, 9 time domain effects, 6 spectral effects, and 7 slots for external audio applications. It also boasts nearly 200 LFOs that can modulate each parameter.

One of the standout features of Moebius Lab is the ability to move effects along two chains, allowing for endless combinations and creating incredible sounds. What sets it apart is the option to modulate all app parameters with dedicated LFOs, providing precise control over every aspect of your sound.

To help you get started, Moebius Lab provides more than 200 ready-made presets. Additionally, each effect has an in-line help feature that offers explanations of the parameters, making it easy for users to navigate and make adjustments.

The screen layout of Moebius Lab is divided into three horizontal areas. The top area contains the sound source options: Sample player/External Input/Internal Synth. The middle area houses the Time Domain Effects Chain with four slots for external apps, while the bottom area includes the Spectral Effects Chain. These two chains are connected in a Moebius Ring-like structure, allowing for signal routing between them in innovative ways.

Moebius Lab goes beyond its already extensive capabilities by offering the option to add up to 7 IAA effects and/or instruments. With such flexibility and possibilities, users can truly unleash their creativity.

• EXCITER: Distorts the signal below (Saturation) or above (Excitation) a given frequency.
• RINGER: A ring modulator with distortion and feedback.
• KLAMPER: Clamps the signal with special features.
• SWARMER: A superchorus that excels at creating fat synth sounds. Composed of a chain of modulated delay lines.
• FILTER: Offers two configurations — Dub: a dual low-pass/high-pass state variable filter with resonance and overlap factor; Morph: a triple low-pass/band-pass/high-pass state variable filter with resonance and continuous morphing between the filter types.
• SPLITDEL: A dual band delay with feedback.
• REDUKTOR: Used to decimate and manipulate the signal.
• SHIFTER: A dual band frequency shifter.
• REVERSO: Plays the signal in reverse at a regular rate.
• BRICKWALL: A spectral brickwall filter.
• GRIP: Samples and holds spectral components of the incoming signal based on their amplitude.
• BLUR: A (noisy) spectral reverb where the duration of the spectral components is prolonged (blurred).
• DEGRADER: A spectral decimator.
• FLUTTER: Animated brickwall effect defined by two spectral sinusoidal LFOs. Suppresses spectral components based on their position inside or outside the frequency boundaries set by the Spectral Balance.
• PLATEVERB: A classic Plate Reverb effect.
• DYNAMICS PROCESSOR: Allows users to adjust the output sound using compressor and expander effects, reducing or expanding the dynamic range of an audio signal.

In addition to its impressive range of effects, Moebius Lab features an internal synth that includes two band limited oscillators, a complex oscillator, a ladder filter, an envelope generator, and a sub-bass oscillator. This adds even more versatility and creative possibilities to the sound palette.

Other notable features of Moebius Lab include Audiobus and Inter-App Audio support for seamless integration with other apps, compatibility with various MIDI controllers, a user-friendly file manager for easy access and sharing of audio files, and the ability to create snapshots and morphing presets using the morphing pad.
